NEFELIBATA

Last night, whilst I slept

I sojourned the land of dreams

in my dream, I was a man and my name was Nefelibata

I had a wife and a fluffy dog

my dog would masturbate each time it was bored

or we both did, I am unsure.

In my dream, I owned a farm

on which I grew cannabis and heaven

unsure if they were different, one

from the other

they were guarded by angels

who watered them with trumpets and dust.

I had a mantis in my dream

on which I rode to work or the bar

still unsure if they were not the same places.

My bathroom led to Kilimanjaro

where strippers paid to give my friends and I

lap dances in angelic robes.

Reality soon came to me,

cloaked in heat and mosquitoes

winked and kissed me

as it tossed me off the mountain top

My mouth swelled with a taste as I fell,

opening my eyes to earth

and this was it-

that dreams are nothing

and they sing no such thing

as songs of clairvoyance

Dreams are nothing,

simply desires immersed in water and

memories telling the wind how not to twirl.
