Staying Yomi Olugbode Agbowo Art African Literary Art

Would you let me stay?
If breathing were thoughts
And I’m that ticklish patch of breeze
That travels from the northern winds of your hair
Trickling down-south;
the scruff of your neck.

Would you let me stay?
If I were that waft of licorice and patchouli
Adorning your nostrils
Igniting sparks to your olfactory
Making you close your eyes;
Making you wish, making you dream.

Would you let me stay
If I were the bearer, of the wishes of bliss
The fulfiller of your dreams,
Your vulnerability, your confidence
I think I’m here to stay, but
Would you let me?
